Has anyone tried using electronic ball valves on the return pump line? Maybe use a y fitting to split to both sides of the tank with two return lines with electronic ball valves so you could essentially change the direction of flow back and forth creating a squal i guess. Which should promote faster growing corals considering its closer to what a real ocean would be like with natural currents. Most power heads are stationary and more or less just blast an area which often times will disturb the corals from their full potentials. Just a thought... Most of you are way smarter than i about this hobby considering i have been out of it for over 15 years

The worst product I have ever used, an oceans motions, was designed to do just this. It was a great ideas, but unfortunately it managed to find a way to trap every little bit of sand that ever got agitated inside of it, then stick. Repeatedly.

Ok, interesting. Maybe a larger pipe size could solve that problem
