Hey guys so I'm looking for a new return pump for my 130 gallon set up. I want one that is powerful enough to handle my tank and dual reactor. Fully submersible preferred. Just trying to see what everyone uses and recommends. Thanks for the help in advance...

I really like the water blaster pumps for my 125. Mine is 4 years old and still runs like day one. I have the hy5000 I like hi flow so I wish I would have got the Hy 7000 so I could run reactors. I have considered dc pumps. Mainly for the lower cost to run and I like the idea of lower voltage in tank. But I don't see the point of a pump I can change speed on as a return pump, for one if you size it right. You shouldn't need to change speed and they seem to have kinda week head pressure. Oh and I think the water blasters have a 3 year warranty. So if I was going to to buy a new pump today. I would get the hy7000 or a ecotech m1

Is the water blasters quiet or a bit noisy? Also I think it would be good to turn down the flow during feeding right? Also you recommend the 7000 to run both the tank and the reactor? I don't like too much flow since I have a wave maker as well

My hy5000 is silent I only hear water in over flow on my tank. You could use the 5000 I used it on a 180 for a while before I downsized and I think it suits my 125 better. Also I have allot of 90s in my plumbing which greatly reduces flow. Most important to me is reliability. I'm sure allot of people will recommend the jeabeo return pumps. I have trust issues with jeabeo. But that's just my opinion allot of people with expensive live stock use them. I turn off all flow when I feed so I don't need to turn down speed. I use a dj switch power strip so I just flip a switch and flow stops
