Return pump for Reefer 250 v3 sump - Varios-6 overkill?

i ordered a varios 6 but now thinking it might be overkill and should swap it for a 4. Any suggestions or people using the 6 in their Reefer 250?

To be honest you should be just fine.

You can always dial back its flow, run some reactors off a manifold, and get a longer lifespan.

I prefer to oversize return pumps for two reasons. 1( I'd rather run it on lower power/low stress 2) you upgrade proof a piece of equipment that will work on a larger tank.
. For the record, I have a simplicity 1600 on my reefer 250

I run a V6 on my RS 300. Set at 3 out of 5. Not the exact tank, but relatively close to give you an idea.
