Return pump gph 65 gallon

Hello guys I have the jbj 65 aio tank with stock return pumps rated for 397 gph total for both return pumps…in back Chambers there is not much flow and I see a oil film on top of water back there…think I should upgrade the return pumps to 2 sicce 1.5 would there be any Benefit to the tank??? Thanks for any help

Flow in a reef tank is very important I say the more the better but that all depends on your trying to keep in the end. Adding to your turn over rate can never hurt IMO though.

It should be ok. You may need to top off more frequentlyas that chamber will empty more quickly.
