Return pump help?

Pretty much all my suggestions i have been mentioned . Gotta ask though ,are You "sure" the flow adjust is wide open? How about where the tubing fits to the pump ? Is there any flow coming from there ?
The tubing is too long but shouldn't be enough to back down the pump. It could be shorter however. Could be a wimpy butt pump . I like the suggestion of breaking it down & checking & running it in a bucket to check the velocity of water coming out . Also the bubbles coming out concerns me. Could still be air trapped in the pump . Good Luck !

Question about the sump water level. So I turn everything off to where the return is basically above water so it takes take in any water when it turns off just in case of power outage or whatever it may be then fill sump completely up and let it run for i don’t know 10 minutes? And would that then make it my water level that I should maintain?

Yep that would be your maximum water level. You don't have to run it as high, but that's the max level you should run. For my sump it's better if the water is not near the top as the baffles are designed to allow for water fluctuation to only occur in one chamber. This can not happen if the water level is above the baffles though.

So may want to post a pic of your sump so that someone smarter than me can double check.

Okay I just checked my max level but it really isn’t enough water for my tank for the overflow to work the return pump just basically runs all the water out and that’s it would that then just be because my return is to low into the tank that’s what I would guess but just want to make sure before I buy a new one

Forgot to add the pictures

So your return nozzle is as high as it will go in the pics? It does look pretty low. Mine size an inch or so under the water level.

I'm not very familiar with a setup with an overflow box. Did you get the siphon going like in this vid?

Yeah it was working normal but that I was doing my max water level so I ended up taking some out and now it’s not even high enough to reach the overflow. I would guess that the nozzle is to low but just kinda wanted to make sure before I purchase another one

Will lowering the inside “box” portion of the overflow help? I’m trying to catch up on what the problem is. You’ll want your u-tube to be at least 1/4 in under water on both sides to ensure you don’t loose siphon.
