I'm working on a stand and sump upgrade for my shallow 80. I picked up the sump months ago and tucked it away till I was ready to start plumbing.
After painting the sump I noticed the return section is a little skinny... It's just over 4". The return I'd like to use is a jebao dct 8000 I believe, and specs online put it at 4.3" wide (it's in use on my current setup).
BUT, there's an oscilating bench sander in my shop with a bunch of fresh belts just sitting around doing nothing AND it looks like there's atleast 1/4" on each side of the pump that's all bottom mounting bracket.
What are the chances I can shave off those jebao love handles and get this pump where it needs to be?
