Woke up this morning for work and noticed my tank wasn’t running. Checked the return and it wasn’t pushing any water. The return pump powers my main 60 gallon display, a 25 gallon anemone tank, and my 90 gallon fuge. I took it apart looking for a blockage and nothing. Finally had to leave for work at 6 am. I have my vortechs running in my main tank, and my wife is picking up an air pump to put in the anemone tank, left the skimmer running in the sump-so the only water not moving is in the fuge. Made sure the furnace was cranked up to keep everything somewhat warm and now I keep my fingers crossed that it will all be alive when I get home at 9 pm tonight after my shift. Not a great way to start the day!

Sounds like you need to figure out how to get a replacement return pump installed asap.
Amazon prime overnight? Overnight shipping from an online retailer? Any place locally to pick one up?
Sorry to hear this.
Your tank should be fine with the vortechs running and atleast some heat source until you get home and figure out next step.

Thanks for the replies everyone. My LFS is looking if they have anything that will work which I can pickup on the way home. Otherwise, I will move heaters and since I will have time-probably move one of my vortech’s to the smaller tank. I would have liked to this morning, but I was already late and as a nurse not showing up close to on time doesn’t work very well.
