Was messing about with my return pump, a Sicce 1.0, trying to make it less noisy, it has now stopped working, so I tried the spare return I had, a Eheim 1000 but it did the same, what’s going on?

I’ve tried turning them off, leaving for 10-15 minutes,, tried shaking all the bubbles out of them, still no joy.

Couple of questions - are they connected to a controller of some sort? might that controller be in feed mode?

I'ld take pump(s) in question dump them in bucket of RO water and plug them in and see if they run there for starters.

No controller, I have the spare in the sink, trying it there, ran for half a second then nothing.

Ok, pull them apart and check to make sure there's nothing clogging them up. If you have some vegetable glycerin you can lube them with that or soak in vinegar or better citric acid. What kind of pumps are these?

The main is a Sicce 1.0 and the spare is a Eheim compact 1000, I can’t see it being a cleaning issue as they are less than a month old.

Edit it was a cleaning issue sort off, thought I was being rude, asking for help but not following the advice, so pulled them apart, replaced the propellers, both working great now thanks!

This is a perfect thread! Thanks for editing your last with the correction. So few do in these situations and it's such a great learning opportunity for others.
