Is like to see some Manifolds people have made off their return pumps as I'd like to have one for my next build.

sent from never never land...

Here is a side view as I was mocking everything up. You can see the 1.25 inlet in the middle and the gate valve as a bypass.

Here is a back view, three 3/4 I.d hoses run the sea swirls and one one inch hose runs back into the sump to help control flow in the tank.

Thanks! I like flex hose, going to use it for my next build..

How was it to work with?

When I do it over ill probably have the manifold come off the top of the pump and just reduce from there.

Flex hose is a breeze to cut with the ratcheting PVC cutters out there. Get the cheap one from Lowes as it works wonders. Kobalt was the brand I believe and it cuts everything up to 1.5" hard PVC. Flex and Vinyl are a breeze as well.

If using flex PVC be sure to use a primer and glue designed for it or it can crack and leak.

For a manifold, I don't use one on this tank, but on my last one I made one out of PVE Ts and barb fittings. By making my own I was able to mount it to the back of the stand and have the inlet on the bottom and outlets on the top... Worked better for plumbing from the pump by following a logical flow pattern for me.

what are your goals/intentions for this manifold? return to DT, reactors, etc?

If so, a y or t fitting plumbed into the return line is great. make sure to add unions and valves so things can be taken apart/modified/controlled. Ill throw up a couple photos of mine and note the modifications im about to do later, when I get home

Yes, that is the goal. I would like the ability to have reactors, GFO, carbon and maybe even feed a fuge.

I have two Manifolds. 1 for the sump area water distribution and the other for my tank side water distribution.

sump side. water exits the pump in 2" pipe. split off at "T" with 2" going to tank and 1" going to manifold. this 1" splits with 1" going to Skimmer and 1" going to remainder of manifold on other end of the sump.

the 1" mainfold is split into 3 x 1/2" valves and a 1" valve. the 1" is for chiller circuit and the smaller ones are for UV, CaRx and Ecobak.

Inside of tank. this is repeated on each end.

and just for grins, here is the under tank plumbing. large pipes in front are supply and return for sump. the two smaller ones at the back are the supply and return for closed loop. all of this goes thru the floor and I have the Closed loop pump in the crawlspace and the sump in the garage.
