Should I redo this
My return is not touching the ground

If it were me, I wouldn't. As long as it doesn't touch the side of the sump.
If you are concerned with the weight of the pump pulling down on a bulkhead fitting, then look for a silicone hot pad and slip it under.

I've intentionally plumbed ac pumps that way so they don't vibrate on the bottom of the sump.
 
ok cool......... this would be the 1st time im hard pluming to my return

As mentioned above, make sure there isn't stress on a bulkhead fitting or anything else weak. If there is you definitely need some type of additional support whether it's supporting the pipe above or adding something underneath

You really should not leave it hanging. There has to be some connection somewhere in the line from pump to tank that it is stressing. Simple fix like Mjrenz said. OXO makes a Silicone mat looks like it would fill the space. I think Brs or marine depot sells them. It can also be found at retailers like bed bath and beyond.
