I need (want) to upgrade my old AC pump to a new Apex compatible DC return pump. I've seen a lot of people had been happy with Waveline but I cant find them for sale. Anywhere. Did they go belly up?

Can't find them either

Those RO VarioS DCs have some good reviews

Agreed. Not a single bad review and it looked like they were priced right. It would be nice to know what happened to them.

Wavelines were made by RLSS in Canada. Though their website still exists, I think they are no longer as the site hasn’t been updated in years. I haven’t seen any of their skimmers available through retailers since their skimmers were all on closeout more than 3 years ago.

For my 50 cube tank with return pump head at around 5', did not like the return from the Sicce Syncar Silent 2.0 so I changed to the Octo Vario S2 which connected to my Apex...like it so far.

Love my waveline. Tiny, quiet, moves a ton of water, and is apex comptable(although I only use the apex to turn it off and on).

I too had noticed this about a year back, bought an extra just in case.

Picking a pump shouldn't be causing. This. Much. Anxiety. I think I need upwards of 3000 gph. I have dual 1" returns with about 9' head in a 220g tank. I would like Apex control but I'm not willing to break the bank or compromise pump strength to get it.

How much do you want to spend? What do you want the apex control to do?

$300 or less. I would like to monitor current with the apex and be able to use feed mode. More than anything I just want to make sure I'm not missing out on some feature I really wished I had.

You will be able to monitor power with an AC or DC pump if it's plugged into the Apex power bar. For feed mode, do you want the return to slow or shut off?

Thanks guys. I should have updated this thread. I was able to get a steal on both a COR20 and a Varios 8 so I'm set up pretty nicely. I should be able to slow the return enough for feed mode.
