When was the last time you cleaned you return pump?

Last sunday Took it out and tore it down for a complete cleaning. I do this about once every 6 months or so However, I do need to do the same to my skimmer pump, so thanks for the reminder

I clean my return pump around every 6 months and actually have a spare that I switch over while the old one is left to soak in citric acid (I prefer this to vinager) for a week

To be honest whenever I take it out it’s not to dirty as I try and keep the sump reasonably clean do to potential issues with reactors.

I agree they do stay fairly clean. It's better to be safe then sorry.
