Thinking about buying a new return pump. The one I have came with my tank and I don't know how old it is or what size. I plan to keep it as a backup but don't know which one to buy. I am looking at the jeabo submersible pumps. My tank is a 6ft 125g. Height from pump to outlets is like4 1/2 ft. Don't know if it makes a difference but my return lines at about 7 ft long. Thanks for any advice.

Saw the Ecotech at MACNA and plan to replace my REEFLO with it when I return from vacation. Being a DC pump, when you adjust the flow (down) you actually use less power compared with just throttling back the reeflo with a valve on the output side of the pump which saves virtually no power. When the M1 is in feed mode, it pump idles which causes the system to be pressurized but with no flow. When it ramps back up there are no bubble injected into your tank. I shut my current pump off to feed. The tank back siphons into the sump and the supply lines empty so when the pump is turned back on there is a lot of bubbles pumped into the display tank. M1 can be used as an internal or external pump also.

same here, I am debating buying it even though my pump isn't 8 months old yet...just can't beat the functionality of it

Jabeo's are good buys for the $...had many running for well over a year without problem. The new DCT version is even better...only been using 1 a month now...but crazy quiet
