Recently upgraded to an elos,

I can run either eheim 1250 or sicce psk600 pump. Both are brand new.

I have always drilled and ran external pumps and this time I didn't. Can anyone explain what I can use to make this pump stop giving that vibrating hum? If I shift and elevate it the vibrations are alleviated.

How is it plumbed, if its ridgid PVC you need s short section of vinyl tubing in teh line to break up the sound transmission. If it does not hang freely and is stressing the pump in any direction it will also contribute to vibration. I have also used rubber mouse pads under some pumps in the past which helped or I have heard of people filling a zip loc bag with sand and placing it under the pump. Yet another I have seen is to get a tube of silicone caulking and place a large dollop of silicone in each suction cup or rubber bumper and let it harden, the softer silicone will dampen the sound.
