Return pump while feeding

Should I keep my return pump on while feeding my fish ??

You can for a few minutes so the food doesnt go down the sump instead of eaten. My fish eat it so fast i dont feel the need to. Some pumps have a feed mode also.

I shut everything off for about 5 minutes when I feed.

I have been leaving everything on but don't want to be messing things up by doing this

I dont. My feed mode just shuts down the wave pumps for 5 min. Thats it.
Sometimes I don't even like to do that because my fish feed more aggressively when then food is blowing around and less goes to waste

We keep ours on. We turn off the gyre when we feed. We used to turn off the return pump, but it was a pain to readjust the valve on the down pipe when turning it back on.

naw then the food doesnt circulate and the fish dont have fun eating it!
