I'm looking for a return pump for my first reef tank build, does anybody have any experience with the current usa DC pumps? i like the idea of being able to adjust the flow to get what i need.

I've also stuck with the mag drive pumps and have never used this brand. Just so your aware you could also go either with a properly sized AC pump or you can also put a valve on the outlet side of an AC pump in order to control or dial in the flow.

That's what I did. I have ball valves on mine to adjust the flow. Works well![]()
That's what I do too! At least I do on 2 of my tanks . Lol [emoji23]

Yup. Turns out two mag 9's were a little too much for my 180. lol Who knew? I had one mag9 on my 75 and it was perfect. Ah well.![]()
Sorry, I don't have any experience with that one either. I am running a Jebao DC6000 on my 75 and it works great. Been running for a year and a half now with not one hiccup.
Are these the danner mag pumps?
Let us know how you like it. We are able to order this pump at work and I was thinking of trying it out on a display tank.Ok, I went with the current USA DC, I had a gift certificate I got for Xmas so I just went with it, we will give it a try
