I am having lots of issues with Neptunes COR pumps.
I have been in the aquarium hobby for over 20 years. I have use more pumps that I can even remember. external and internal
I changed from external to internal pumps around 5 years ago. I have used: Sicce, Tunze, Ecotech (Vectra) and Neptune (COR 20 & 15)
I recently switched from Ecotech (Vectra) to Neptune (COR) Because the Vectra was just stalling out of nowhere.
The COR worked great for about a year or so.
The first one just stop working. did all the test I could and found out that the power supply went bad it was over a year old out of warranty so I had to buy a new power supply.
TYhe second one the flow star to get lower and lower until it stoped working. Send it out for inspection and nothing it is broken over a yers old out of warranty so I have to buy a new Block $200.00.
Third one. the flow is getting lower and lower so who knows how long is going to last. over a year old so is out of warranty.
I also have a Energy bar that lasted just about 2 years but that i will talk about on an other thread.
My question is. Should I keep buying Pump Block for$200.00 that I know is going to last about a year? or should I go on a different direction?
I have 3ea COR 20 and 2 COR 15 so It is expensive to switch to a different pump but it is also expensive to keep Buying $200.00 Blocks that only last over a year.

Gald I see your write up.
I was just getting ready to pull the trigger on 2 Core 20 pumps for $700.
I have seen many complains about the power supply dying after 1 year in use.
I cove the convenience and the improbability of the Apex platform, but to your point at theses prices dependability should not be an issue.

I would move in another direction and not look back. 600 dollars in 3 years. You can buy a 600 pjmp that will las th say 5 years is a better investment. Not to mention not having to deal with changeouts
