Hello.

I want to have the capacity to move as close to 9x turnover per hour. I have a 125g tank, with a Eclipse L capable of 1000gph.

What size return do i need to complement the 1,000 gph goal? Do I need 3/4 or 1in return....OR should i do Qty2 3/4 return.

Also, Do you have a recommendation on pumps? I was reading that qty2 pumps may be better than 1 large one.

Im a newbie, so thanks for any recommendations. John

Would you recommend one or two pumps? I was thinking about doing two 700 Gph Instead of a one 1400 gph....about the same price with a little redundancy built-in.

You will want more than that. There’s head pressure. I’d get a varioS 6

I use a single good quality pump.
I know you said you want to run 1000 gph, but you really don't need that much.
I would not push the upper limits of the overflow. Too much risk in having a particle blockage ( algae, snails, etc.) and causing a flood.
VarioS, Sicce, Vectra, Eheims are all good brands.
