I have the shadow overflow on my 135g tank and a varios-6 return pump. My varios-6 is at it's lowest setting and it seems to be emptying out my sump return area really quick and the overflow is having a hard time keeping the return section of my sump full. What should I check for that I could be doing wrong? Maybe I need more water? Thanks for the help!

Not enough flow to your sump
I could be wrong on this, but you should see if there is a gate valve beneath your tank that empties into the sump. It might be that you just need to open that valve (make very small adjustments) a little more so the display is emptying into the sump at a faster rate. This should then use gravity to increase the flow through the sump to better match your return pump.

Hmmmm the shadow overflow flow rates of approximately 1600gph. I have the gate valve open all the way. Not sure what's making it slow. Maybe more water is required? I don't wanna over do it with the water considering I want the sump to be able to handle all the overflow water without over filling.
