Working on plumbing. Specifically return. I’m planning on using a silicon from return pump to barbed hose adapter with a clamp to PVC. Then it’s PVC all the way up.
Now, I’m confusing myself reading so many threads on this….
So I have the PVC going up, how can I attach a return jet. I’m going over the tank, since I have q canopy, and you can’t see it.
I keep hearing get a female thread into a male thread and this and that. Can someone just “dumb this down for me” please. Just want to know how I can add a return.

Now the loc line slides right unit the PVC and then you put the loc line into the water?

3/4 obviously fits into the 1” PVC but isn’t it significantly smaller?

1 inch pvc to 3/4 inside thread adapter, thread locline into pvc. You could use 1 inch all the way, but 3/4 was what this I used.

I think my issue is I’ve never messed with locline and this whole male/female thing confuses me lol!

This part connect to PVC however I wanna do it whether it’s U shape into tank or whatever then…
The male adapter goes into that piece
Thread …. Then the other piece connects to the loc lines
