Thank you everyone for your warm welcomes!!! I’ve been lurking for some time, decided to join after seeing how helpful the community is and not crazed opinionated “omg I can’t believe you’re doing —blank—! You’re going to kill everything” people.

Welcome!

I ran a 54 gallon corner tank for about a year before going bigger this weekend. I loved it and they are beautiful tanks, the extra depth is amazing for a system that size.

The biggest issue I had was lighting- it was hard to light the sides and edges of the tank properly without roasting coral in the center of the tank. I ended up with all of my coral crowded in the middle and gsp and mushrooms in the shade on the sides.

I've really enjoyed having my old A150 in the back corner and a A360 covering the rest of the tank. I can totally see the corners are needing some light, long term I would like to throw another A360 and dial back the intensity. Also I plan on adding a Kessil controller for the A360 and since the A150 ins't tunable it'll be 2-4 run time while the A360s will ramp up and down.

Already well ahead of what I had! I was using a single black box in the center, and even at 25% I might as well been blowtorching anything in the dead center of the tank.
