Returning to the hobby.

Welcome to R2R!!!

Hi, I've been away from the hobbie for about 10 years and decided it was the time to get back to it. I'm on the process of preparing a 56 Tall tank I had in storage since I bought it. Used to have a 55.
Welcome back punkgambit.
Do you plan a sump, what kind of livestock?

Hi and welcome!!! I'm literally in the same boat but I sold off my 55 in 2009 I think and starting from scratch.

I'm kind of starting from scratch too. Only thing I have right know is a new aquarium and a custom stand I built. I'm reusing the old rock and sand(dry since it's been so many years) from the old 55.

The stand is an overbuild (48x24). When I build it I didn't know what size I was going to go, so I believe it can take up to a 150 extra high if I'm not wrong.

Currently undecided. I have the space on the stand, but was thinking going with a hang on back fuge, and probably tunze skimmer and filter. Trying to stay away from plumbing. I don't think I'll be filling it before end of November, so I'll see what I decide later.

In the short run I don't think I'll add any coral, prefer to have the tank pretty stable for that. And when I add them I'll probably go with some easy care ones.
