Reusing biopellets

I have some biopellets from a previous tank. I didn't rinse them before storing them. If I rinse and soak them, think they would be safe to use?
 
They should be just fine to reuse, if you really want rinse in RO/DI and air dry before using but, I don't personally feel that's needed.
 
I agree you shouldn't have to rinse them, just added to the new system because the biological it's already there. If you wash them then it's like starting all over again.

I could understand if they have been dried out already, then wash them.
 
How did you make out, did you use them?
 
Not a problem reusing. I prefer rinsing them to get the dead bacteria off them. I've done this a couple of times without issue. Realize biopellets are just hard bacteria food.
