Hey guys. First time poster here.
I'm currently using a secondhand 5ft tank to convert it in to a 2 step down tank.
Tank dimensions are 1500*600wide*700tall
Sorry for the metric measurements US guys.
Anyway I was wondering if you think I could reuse the old bracing and convert it to euro brace so I don't need new glass cut. With all my added baffles internally there is already less pressure on the sides.
I've added photos of the tank, old bracing set up and what I'm planning for the new set up.
The deep end of the tank would have a 80mm (3") wide piece and then the long bits at 50mm (2") wide. On the shallow end of the tank I'd just need a 40mm wide piece to finish the bracing.
Glass is all 11.5-12mm, just under half inch.
Reckon I'm safe with this set up of should the long pieces run all the way to the end panels ? And maybe be wider ?
