As I am sure this has been discussed before, I'll start off by saying sorry.

I have a smaller tank that I am shutting down and it has live rock that I would like to add to my WB 220. I know for sure there are bristle worms and it is COVERED in hair algae.

I was thinking of pulling them out and bleaching for a few days. Letting them dry and then putting them in a container with water from water changes to let them cycle.

What are your guys thoughts and what kind of timing are we thinking?

If it is me, i just scrub the algae off. Then keep bristleworms they are good cuc. Why bleach it? Unless it have aptasia or other major pest.

Agreed - no need to go through bleaching and drying. I would manually remove as much algae as possible, then hit the left over algae with hydrogen peroxide. Give it a thorough rinse in some water change water and plop em into the new tank.

Im putting them in an established tank, so I did not want any parameters to spike.
