Reusing maxspect bio balls

Hey all,

A couple days ago I was cleaning my sump and forgot to place back the bio balls I had laying in my sump.

Could I re use these after a good rinse with some hot water and ro-di?

soakem in bleach for a few days let them air dry and pop them back in

I personally would buy new ones, and soak the new ones with some bottled good bacteria for 24 hrs then put them in your sump. Nice and clean with good bacteria soaked in. but thats me. everyone has their own way

Very old post but would like to know what happened. I am switching from salt to fresh and have a lot of bio balls.

Not sure how it turned out for them but I would also recommend the bleach. Remove as much organics off before putting it into your tank to cause less problems.
