Reusing sand

i am setting up a 200 gallon tank, I have about 200 lbs of sand I have bleached and rinsed. What are thought of using this and mixing with live sand . Some say use all new
Sand, any input appreciated

If it is rinsed, used it. The main reason people recommend not reusing sand is because of the detritus trapped in it.

I wouldn't bother with the live sand. Unless you are getting live sand from the ocean you might as well just dump a bottle of Dr Tims or Biospira into it. Pretty much the same thing.
 
I've had no ill effects on using old sand as long as you rinse it well I don't even bleach just rinse it till water is clear and then let it dry well
