These have been under LEDs since the last club meeting... a little out of focus, but I'm working on that.

very nice looking zoas/palys! colors look good - will be interested to see more pics. Very interested in LED's. Pretty cool. Thanks for sharing

I believe you mentioned it at the meeting but where are you getting your LED supplies? I am looking into setting up some LED supplemental lighting. The only thing I see "pre packaged" is the power bright system by current. I would like to get some info on how you are doing it. If you don't mind sharing.

Thanks

jtl,
How long have you been growing these under LEDs. Are they growing normally, faster, slower? It doesn't look like they're reaching for light. How close is the light to the zoanthids?

Most of the LEDs and other items are from either cutter.com.au, Nanotuners, or LEDsupply. I've had good luck from all and appreciate their quick shipping (LEDsupply was super quick in my case).

Those particular zoas had been under LEDs for a couple of weeks when I took the pictures, I got them from rev at the May club meeting and he said they would color up under good light which they did. They are on the sand on the dim side of the tank. I've posted PAR readings here and I'm using a 50/50 combination of CREE XP-Gs (cool white) and XR-E (royal blues) running about 60% intensity (estimate). Some of my zoas higher in the tank really got smaller under the LEDs.

All-in-all my corals and zoas/palys have really thrived under LEDs, been running them since first of March. My corals have responded very well in general. I'm looking to experiment with some additional LEDs for a broader spectrum of light. Will keep everyone posted.
