I'm currently building the sump for my new 210 and I'm going to use a Neptune ATK for the top off control. Because of the way my return section is designed (DIY sump), the ATK will fit better if I take the float off and install it on the other side of the unit... basically swapping the inlet and float. This seems like it'll work fine, but I'm concerned that the RODI water coming in will run down onto the optical sensor and cause issues since now it would be coming in on the same side as the sensors. As a side benefit, it may "wash" the optical sensors and keep them cleaner? Has anybody tried this? I can install it without reversing the float, but it'll just be a cleaner install this way.

Thanks!

Never tried it but I don't see any problem with it. Both optical sensors are water proof and main one will be semi under water anyways. Float sensors is a fail safe 3rd option in case both opticals fail.

Thanks for the reply! I'm not worried about water proof issue, just thinking the water running on the sensors could trigger them and make them think they are under water? I guess I can try it and see, just hoping maybe someone had already done it.

Just checked a video on YouTube. It will shoot out water from the joint of the float valve and more like a stream thus not on the sensors itself. I also saw in some videos optical sensors were removed from the ATK housing and placed/attached somewhere else.
