Reverse osmosis question

Can i use two carbon filters instead of one micron filter and one carbon?

I think the carbon filters are rated at 5 microns.

I'd rather still have a 1 micron sediment filter before. I had my RO modified to have double sediment and double Carbon filters.

Im not using it for reef anymore. For reef I use snow. 0tds for free.

But my main concern is will it work fine and not cause any problems to the membrane.
