Wondering what everyones thoughts are on this?

100 GPD RO Unit

I am restricted to Home Depot as an option for source. Our current RODI system does 11 GPD which our two 125s laugh at on a daily basis. Up until now I have had to use my truck to import water from our LFS which is a pain in the neck to say the least. I was going to upgrade it to a 14 gallon storage tank (biggest I can find) and use it to fill 2 brute cans we have in the garage for mixing saltwater.

May I ask why you are limited to Home Depot and can't order something online? I'm sure this one will work just fine, but will need some modifications/additions. Keep in mind that you do not need or want the post carbon filter, so remove it. Also, you will need to get A DI resin canister or two. I would order one from BRS! It will come properly setup for reef aquariums purposes and need no additions or modifications.

Mainly to use our Home Depot card to not tie up funds. We have several house hold projects right now related to the aquariums so I am trying to do as many as possible at one time. If I need to go with BRS for a reef specific one I could, would just prefer to go HD though. If it needs modification though then ease of install is going to beat out the HD option. With the BRS does it need a storage tank or could I pump it right into the brute cans?

Edit:

They do have this option available that includes DI:

Just having the pressure gauge is worth the extra $10. I would still remove the post carbon filter. The DI canister on that one is not refillable and will not last a real long time, but will get you going. I would add this dual DI canister down the road when the one that comes with the unit is exhausted.

Your not really selling me on the Home Depot one...:p

I'm going to go with the BRS I think like you suggested, the fact alone that its ready to go and I can replace the DI component eventually is well worth it over the home depot one. Thanks for helping me avoid a $300 mistake! :D
