Hey guy's and gal's I hope everyone has had a Merry Christmas and Happy holiday's. I recently just purchased a favia and it has been in my tank for a fews weeks now and it looks a little different than most pictures just making sure that it is acting normal any information would be very helpful.

It's almost at the bottom of the tank, it's not directly under the lighting,
I'm using a maxspect razor about medium to low flow

It really does not look as if anything is wrong with it. Favia are med to low light. Start out low light and move to medium. Always start low you really do not know lighting at place you purchased from.

Not sure what you refereed to as other pictures you have seen. Only difference I see is yours is not in the eating or puffed out mode.

Well that's all that I was asking it started to puff out last night after 2 weeks of being in the same spot.. and I haven't been able to find a picture of one that was puffed so I didn't know if this was a first stage of it dying or not...

Looks good to me... most "prism favias" do best in very low light and flow. Looks to me like yours is still settling in or receiving a bit too much flow. With that said I've kept several colonies of the typical "reverse prism" coloration and they all shift to two colors over time. Still a gorgeous coral nonetheless.

I blast mine with light but its been in my tank over a year. Make sure alk is in check they dont far well in high alk tanks.
