Ive been using AC pumps for so long, im not sure if this is even a thing. My ATO chamber is in an area where pouring water from 5g jugs just isn't feasible. Rather than keeping a small pump in the jug, I'd rather just have it in the ATO chamber and suck the water in when it comes time to refill.

Is this a thing? Or is a small pump in the jug the only way to go?

You may could try and rig up something with a three way valve that would allow for filling when needed.

Not reversible but I have this transfer pump for pumping water into my tank when I do a WC. No more 5 gallon buckets for me! And my water room is about 30 foot from my DT. There are smaller versions available that would do the trick I am sure.

If you are electrically inclined you can do this with a relay to swap polarity for a traditional DC motor.

New 3 phase sine wave motors require a swap of any two of the three input wires. Again it’s possible with a relay.

Couldn’t you just hook up a normal pump and have a hose connected to the inlet of the pump so it pulls water from the hose and then just pumps it into your sump?
No need to be “reversible” if you do it that way

Even if you could reverse the pump, it likely wouldn’t work. Pumps push, they don’t pull. The line would already need to be primed with water (in which case, you can just siphon).
