revided a rock and found this!

the mouth looks like eunicid worm. AKA fireworm. AKA bad news.

Trig I'm 99% sure a fireworm and eunicid are two different things. I'm pretty sure a fireworm is the same as a bristle worm but more redish
fire worms are bristle worms and are really both common names and mean nothing. Actually, both are sometimes called fireworms. There are many types of them. IIRC Eunicid is a bit more specific, being one that A. gets very large B. Eats everything including corals C. stings quite a bit more.

The mouth is how you tell a bad one from the beneficial guys. This one is bad. If you find some pics of beneficial bristles you'll see that you really can't see anything that resembles teeth. It just kind of comes to a point.

Idk though after looking at more of the pics in that reefkeeping issue, I'm leaning back toward one of the regular old bristle worms and not a eunicid or eunice or whatever. Its colors are odd though. I'd like to see what it looks like submerged in water.
