So for xmas the wife decided to do something nice for me since she knows I dread cleaning the glass on my 8ft long display/ growout tank and went ahead and surprised me with this thing (which isnt cheap either) I've seen it before and thought it was a little gimmicky and never paid much mind to it but was extremely grateful none the less. So I set it up like 2 weeks ago after letting it sit for a while. Cleaned the glass thoroughly inside the tank and out. Followed the directions as far as setup and programming were concerned and this thing is pretty much useless. I'm fairly certain my glass may be a little to thick but according to their rep it isnt and should work fine. But gets about 8"s along and refuses to climb the tank. Mind you the tank is only 24" tall. And that's if it dosnt get stuck on the bottem or trying to turn. And if it does by some chance actually finish "cleaning" the glass it dies before it ever reaches the charging station. Btw this thing takes up some real estate. So maybe it would better suite someone with a smaller tank and thinner glass but you better be willing to give up an nice 10 or so square inches of viewing space on the top right of your tank. Just my experince.

I had one of these back in 2015/2016 when it was released in a big 6ftx3ftx2ft custom built tank.
My honest opinion on the robosnail - it's rubbish
Doesn't clean the glass, it's a hit and miss with it's random cleaning and does not support rimless tanks.
You can try and set it up as much as you want, following the instructions but never works.
The one I had, either kept on falling off the tank (Went too far into the sand bed and fell off the bottom, went too high up and fell off the tank from the top or misses the corners totally and falls off the side of the tank or dies half way before cleaning anything on the glass and reaching the charging station.
