I came across a RR Pink Floyd colony that is super bleached with little polyp extension. The shop through me a deal that i think is worth the risk to try and revive it. Its a big risk but they keep their alkalinity at about 7.5, very close to mine so that should help with the acclimation. I'm drip acclimating it now but am curious if anyone has tips to make this as stress free as possible?
Currently dripping it slower than most pieces. Its in a gallon jug partially submerged in my sump to keep it up to temp during the slower drip. Any tips for after the dip? Revive or anything? I usually dip in bayers which I hate to stress it but dont want to lose my tank healthy over a gamble.
With it being bleached should i keep it in lower light? Moving it up once it starts to brown?
Real strong flow or the usual indirect strong flow? I ask because i know high flow can help stressed sps shed slip ect. Would love to hear input.
I'll post some pictures up once its dipped. Very well cold be a goner but it has al ight pink hue around the tips, some very very light green around the base. Coral came from a reputable source so I'm sure it is what he said.
Thanks for any input! Wish me luck
