I have an old bubble magus NAC9 I’d like to revive for a Rubbermaid trough tank without breaking the bank. I’d like to know if you all have any suggestions on how best to do that since the pump is shot on it. With the advent of DC pumps in skimmers since this thing dropped I wonder if I can’t find a more tunable solution to use with this old skimmer. Does anyone know of a pump that will fit or mods that can be made to get a pump other than the Sedra 4000 that is stock to fit?

Perhaps I should generalize this question. Is it possible to take a skimmer and convert it to DC for an internal skimmer? Short of fabricating new adapters on a CNc for the bubble plate etc.
