Working on the "ledge" "mantle" whatever you want to call it. It is going to be an antique type white and going to made to looked aged. Remember this wholewall is about to have thin brick out on.

The tank pretty much fits like a glove. Still needs painting around the area.

That is really looking great! Why do you try to hide it so much!?!? :p

Wow that's amazing! I need to do this to my new house. Wish I had the hook up on all of the necessities and handywork!

Thanks y'all! I have a hookup on stuff but not on the work!!

WOW, Rev! Lots of progress since the last time we checked in. Can't wait to see this baby full of water!

Well don't get too excited! There isn't much of anything to show yet but I am planning this big tank and I need your help!

The wife and I have leased a house for the past 8 years and this Friday we will be owners of a new home. More importantly it has a huge finished basement with plenty of wall space and there is already an exterior area between the basement walls and the outside house walls. BIG spaces for a dedicated tank room behind the tank.

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS TO BECOME A REALITY SINCE I HAVE BEEN IN THE HOBBY!

This will be my first build of this size and I need your help to figure it all out.

Tank: The tank is a 400+ (finalizing sizes) @Planet Aquarium tank. The tank is 96" x 36" x 24" tall.

Before I get to any more details. What are some things I need to do to prepare for a tank this size?

I am thinking these are some things:

1. Install a floor drain
2. Install dedicated power box
3. Install ventilation
4. Waterline and Sink

What else?
Allow for a quarantine tank that can be easily filled and drained and a jail tank for critters that decide they like nibbling on your $400.00 clam. Don't forget the frag tray.

Haha bunch of wise guys and GIRLS!! Thanks everyone. So excited to get some water and fish in that baby!

Great tank and room.
We are coming closer to being sure there will be a 1000 posts before salty water hits the bottom glass of this tank.
Awaesome!!!!
