I had the sump under a couple of tanks. I eventually moved it to the basement and would never go back to an under the tank sump. The flexibilty and freedom of a remote fish room cannot be beat. I encourage you to use the fish room. This frees up the stand to store dry fish food, cleaning supplies and various items I hide from my wide. Oops, that was suppose to be my inside text.[emoji2]

Bummer. Now I got to find a new place.

My wife loves our aquarium, so I am blessed in that. However I do all the work and maintenance on it, which I actually enjoy. Unfortunately, I cannot sneak a new coral or fish because she would notice it in 10 seconds. We actually talk about what corals and fish we want to add.

3 of us carried in my 250 deep dimension...we had to flip it on its side and back up without setting it down...thought for sure I was going to drop my end at one point lol.

The stairs were awful and there are only 4 of them

You will love not having your sump under your tank. There is nothing like not having to contort your body in a stand under a tank to do maintenance

GXPKY you are 3 bad mothers. 5 of us on my 250dd and we barely got it. That is a heavy tank.

I bet you did feel like jello haha! Our deep 110 was heavy! Glass was half inch thick. So a 250, sounds pretty brutal for 3 guys. It was just the two of us for the 110.

PVC bottom, so that saved some weight. But still around 750lbs. There was no way to put more than 8 guys around it; that was the whole footprint of the tank.

One part about an acrylic tank I'm actually looking forward to is the lack of weight.

I think you need a bigger sump; that one looks pretty short.

Well I have had some contractors come over to give estimates on the fish room. I have two supposed to come this week and then it's all going to get real.
