Rev's 400+ Gallon Basement Inwall

I agree! I'm waiting to see if they add legs!
I would love the fact it has no legs as long as it is securely mounted. The more legs and cabinets you have on the floor the harder it will be to keep it clean!

Yes that's a good idea as long as it can hold a full 5g bucket!

Should be done with the mortar today and then the room belongs to me!

You can see on the far right side mid way down the wall the dry mortar which is a little "whiter" than the fresh mortar. They also haven't wiped down the newly mortared area yet.

The ones I looked at installing in our laundry room that were wall mounted could hold 18 gallons so I doubt that is a problem. It should have bracing under both sides of the sink that bolt directly to studs.

Looking fantastic!:)

Killer!

I would love to see old metal signs on the wall, but reef related. :D

You're pretty artsy bro! Expound a little more on that!

You just have to hire Mike & Frank from 'American Pickers' to find some while they're out picking up other people's treasures!

Yes, that would be cool.

Rev, see if there are any cool signs at the GA Aquarium, or your favorite Aquatic place, that you like. Then see if they can be recreated antique styled. That would really give the wall some character.

Great show!

Yeah, i was thinking the old tin signs like gas station stuff, coca-cola, etc but reef (or beach) related.
Probably nearly impossible to find but for some reason that's the first thing that crossed my mind! haha

Actually a google image search for "vintage tin beach signs" turns up tons of stuff that could be fun.

Its funny as i can do "vintage tin beach signs" :).
After seeing the control board you built for him (awesome, btw!) I am struggling seeing you creating some worn out vintage looking signs..... Do you have a built in "Perfection" switch you can turn on and off at will?
