Rev's 400+ Gallon Basement Inwall

Rev, is the plan to have the sump off to the side or under the tank?

I could save room but off to the side is the plan so I can easily access equipment and clean it!

Don't blame you there! Assuming you're not going to leave it at floor level and have a small stand built for it?

If room is not an issue then I think that's an awesome idea . Make it easy on yourself and your more likely to do it. [emoji6]

WOW!! I just spent the last hour reading this whole thread and examining your build. Absolutely amazing tank and setup this is looking to be. I am in the process of building our 55 gallon (much smaller than the 400) in the wall and already snapped a pic of your brick work to her....hopefully you wouldn't mind the piggy back off your idea. I can't wait to see the final outcome!! Following

Can't wait to see this all finally come together and see it get wet
I know ur excited
The tank looks amazing with the brick

I agree! I'm waiting to see if they add legs!

I have that same sink. My plumber encouraged me to use that one rather than one with legs as he said in his experience those all become wobbly with time. He said the wall mount are much more secure. They are designed to hold a full tub of water so they will easily hold up a 5 gallon bucket full of water.

It's looking fantastic so far!

I don't know if you are considering it but if the sump will be to the side, build a simple stand for it so you don't have to bend over to work in it. Then you can store totes below.

Also, I don't know what else is in that room but a motorized projection screen that drops in front of the tank would be sweet.

Hurry up and get this wet. I need to see lights flashing.

I agree off to the side is the best. Mine is in the basement and is on a stand. It makes cleaning and maintenance so easy. I will never put a sump under the DT again! Looking great Rev!

The screen is going on the end wall. :p Oh and yes I am building a stand for the sump for sure!
