So I bought this system 2 years ago and it just had some mud and skimmer in the middle with 3 socks on the right where the intake dropped into. The far left was just open with return.

I decided to take out the socks, remove the skimmer from middle and put a chaeto refug in the middle with skimmer in with return.

That has worked okay but I think pods are not getting to MT. So now I removed skimmer but am thinking of removing section with socks to enlarge refug and chaeto chamber.

Based on these pics and bad drawing and ideas?

Just a fair warning, I had the proflex 2, which is a smaller version of yours, and I tried to do what you're looking to do, the side walls crack and break VERY easily. It'd be best to just buy or make a sump that will do what you want it to rather than risk breaking your current sump and getting water everywhere. Just my opinion :)

I certainly considered that. It is my biggest fear.

Thanks

I would never ever put skimmer in return chamber even with a ATO Your going to end up over flowing skimmer do to water fluctuation. If you have your skimming in return chamber empty it regularly and Do not use a Hose out to a Bucket like I do..

I agree its time to upgrade the sump. there is really not enough room . I am currently upgrading mine if you want a example..

My major issue is this. My sump can only be removed by moving the tank out since it only can be removed from the back..... unless i break it up in pieces :-)

That is a Issue. So sorry because i really never think about this situation. REMOTE Display fuge next to your existing tank is the best solution
