He's got quite the personality, very interesting to watch.
Nice! Didn't realize they were reef safe
Generally puffers are not reef safe.
Toby puffers tend to be safe for the most part as they only get a few inches. I'm hoping he doesn't start nipping at any of the coral and inverts, so far so good!

They kind of float and hover. My Matted filefish does that too.

Thanks guys! I really am liking the air plants also.

So I thought I'd introduce everyone to my newest addition.

Leopard Toby Puffer

Oh My, it super cute. Is it reef safe?

Awesome tank Rex!
Thanks!

He's only been in the tank for a few days now, so far he hasn't picked on any of the inverts or coral. Generally speaking you'd be taking a risk because each one is going to be different in how they act, but from what I've heard and my personal experience toby puffers are pretty much 100% coral safe but they may eat crabs and snails. There are many other types of toby puffers such as saddle, honeycomb, and leopard, these smaller species get around 3" to 5".

it's been a few months since I've updated this last. That's mainly because I lost everything to a crash :(. On the other time this has gave me some time to think what I want to do with the tank. My LFS got both a majestic angel and a juvenile emperor angel, they are both small and I'll be adding them to this tank only for a temporary amount of time then I'll be upgrading to a 220.
I lost likely will try a few pieces of SPS and see how the fish react to it.

Bummer, What do you think happen?

Hey everyone,
It’s been about 6 months since the last update. The tanks been empty for about 2 months now, but it’s still up and running. I decided to give away the angels to a friend once they became too big for my tank. I’ve been pondering what to do with the tank for the past few months, and I’ve gone back and forth about shutting it down multiple times. But I’ve decided to keep it up and try a reef again soon!
If you’d like to follow me along on this feel free to check out my new build thread, I’ll post a link once it’s created.
