RFA always trying to kill themselves

Why do rock flower anemones always try to kill themselves???

Old tank, RFA tried to wedge through the guard to blenderize itself.

New tank, today, RFA less than 2 hours old trying to wedge itself through the guard.

What the heck. Pretty sure it lost a few fingers but the rest is intact. I turned off the pump and waiting for it to move away. Fully extended now. But still sitting on the pump.

I think it’s the flow they’re looking for. Also could be the exact spot it wanted to be in lol.

I have found they like a ton of light, at least mine did, so they might be trying to get closer. Most mine settled in spots 300 par and up!

Still chilling on the pump. Clearly a few fingers gone. Otherwise intact.

We’ll, first few hours I deliberately turned off the light. Btw, I put in 3 today and the other two are totally normal having attached to the rock below.
