RFA Baby Question

On it's own absolutely not, it's awful. I spent as much on my RODI as I did my lighting. I have a 7 stage, with three DI canisters running on a booster pump. Out of the tap my water runs about 1200 tds and I'm still at 30 after the RO. You can make the water work here but you burn through DI resin fast, just have to buy in bulk. Where are you from?

Dang! I'm in DFW now, but it's possible I go to Midland in the future. I was curious if my reef would make it. I know the water is a headache out there...

It will make it, just beef up your RODI system and get ready to buy resin in bulk. There are good group of local reefers here, but only one LFS and it kind of sucks and over priced. Lubbock has a couple and ins't a bad drive from here. I actually make day trips to DFW just to visit some good LFS.

I noticed six of my males spawning last night. First time I've caught them. Right after lights out. Really is neat! I'm in DFW also. I'll take a few of your babies off your hands. I know you don't want to be feeding all those puppies.

Is it strange that all the babies appear to be the same color? Seems like other folks spawns had a variety of different colored babies?

The mom is the largest RFA I've ever had/seen. She was a lot larger a couple months ago.

I have no idea on color. I was trying to read up on that. From what I've found online, it looks like a lot of the babies are kind of translucent at first. I've also seen some photos of babies that are around 1/4" diameter in size (mine are still ballpoint pen size) that have different center colors. I took a closer look right now and I suppose some of my baby RFA's have a more orange-ish tint to their centers. We should know for sure in a few weeks

I’ll take some pics. They all look like they are going to be some shade of green on the inside. Can’t tell what colors the tips will be yet. There are also quite a few that have dark insides. Curious as to what those will look like.

Here are some. They are spread out all over the tank. Most of them are green center or orange/pink petals.

I have babies most of them are yellow but some are black and white. Im curious what they will look like when they are bigger.

I was in a 90 when these guys were born. Now I'm in a 200.
