I’ve got nearly 20 in my nano and they are as close to bulletproof as you get. I’ve only ever lost 2 and both of them looked bad in the shipping bag. I had one that had a tear from the edge all the way to the mouth and it totally healed over a few weeks.
IMO if they are inflated, look good, and most importantly attached firmly after introduction, and then look dying within a few days, something is absolutely attacking them - especially if it’s more than one of them.
Peppermint shrimp are quasi reef safe and seem to cause more harm than good. Probably the culprits.
