Anyone keep Rock Flower Nems in there sps dominant tanks? I would like to add a few to my new tank, this is a bare bottom tank. I would like to add a some to the base of a few rocks, will they stay there? Any issues with wondering Nems stinging acros? Is this just a bad idea?

I keep them in my SPS tank and they have never moved. I have found a few babies that popped up close to corals, however.

Thanks for the feedback.

How do you deal with the babies? Are you able to remove them from the rocks?

Tweezers or kalkwasser, but most of them stay in the sand near the parent nems. IME, the rainbow colored RFA like less light and the more basic colors like lots of light. I think the initial placement of a nem is key to wether it moves or stays.

I have never really had them move either, even though they can... but they do reproduce in the tank and the babies can be a pain. If you are OK will just killing the babies if they get close, then kalk can easily get them when they are small. They are hard to move and oft deep in the rocks.

It might help if you put them on a rock island that you can keep away from the rest of the rock structure.
