Just noticed my rhomboid laying upside down in the rock work. I pulled him out and hes in a 5 gal bucket with an airstone.
He can't swim upright so im thinking it may be swim bladder related? I have 28g needles on hand in case I need to vent. Any ideas??

Typically wrasse I’ve seen with swimbladder issues float the top and are constantly trying to swim down.
Does he swim head up (vertically)?

No, he stays horizontal for the most part.
I fed the tank and came back out about 5 minutes later to see him like this

If have on hand perhaps a bath in methylene blue. Well tolerated and will get his gills working a bit less. Sounds like an injury if occurred in 5 minutes, wrasses can strike surfaces hard enough to cause.

Spinal injuries in fish are a lot like humans. The body turns some stuff off as a protection during shock. Only after the effects of this wear off can you asess the real damage. Give the fish time before going to euthanasia [emoji4]

Planning on doing anything I can before I resort to euthanasia.
Right now hes still in the bucket with an airstone. Haven’t dosed anything yet. If it is spinal im assuming he’ll have to stay in quarantine for a while.
