My LFS has both female and male rhomboids. My question is should I get a single male or two females? If I got the females I would be hoping for one of them to become a male and be less aggressive.

You'll end up with all males eventually IME, which isn't always a problem. Go with females for sure though , it should save you some $$$.

Thanks that was what I was leaning towards. $75 instead of $110 for a male.

$110 for a male?! I haven't seen them that cheap in the last year! Then again I've never seen them in any of our local LFS.

I'm lucky I have a bunch of very good lfs. This one always has cheap fish and crazy specials.

Picked up a female. I have a feeling though it is a young male.
Bad Pic

Also pick Anampses lineatus (Not sure that is the right ID, from pics online it shouldn't have dot.)
