Does anybody else keep these? I have a couple freshwater and terrestrial ribbon worm species and would like to expand my collection to include saltwater species as well! I have a Notospermus sp. in my reef tank somewhere but I almost never see it. I'd like to set up a few aquariums that specifically house ribbon worms.

If anyone has any experiences with them I'd love to hear about them! Also, if anyone knows where I could get any I'd love to know!

Out of curiosity are you also on arachnoboards?

Haha yes I am! I'm assuming you've seen my other stuff then? I actually originally started my ribbon worm collection because of the Notospermus but was unable to find more locally, so onw thing turned into another and next thing you know I'm stopping by plant nurseries regularly for hitchhikers, collecting native species in local streams, etc.

Well let me know if youd ship, we could trade once i find my bipalium kewense again ( sporadically pops up occasionally but less so now since i added alot of red wigglers as a food source.)

I didn't know anyone kept ribbon worms. Very cool.... Hmmm... Can you send me a link to more information?

'Cause I need more to do in my spare time (*snort*).

This is an old article but...

A lot of my information comes from journal articles and personal experience/other people's experiences with them. Definitely an oddity in the aquarium trade and likely a lot more common than people realize. Most species I've seen tend to like to eat other inverts, mainy things like bristleworms, snails, nudibranchs, etc. Some also eat amphipods and copepods.

I would consider a trade but shipping terrestrial species across the border from Canada to the USA would be extremely difficult - the US seems to be a lpt mpre strict with imporation than Canada. Aquatic species into Canada is trivially easy, ship to an address in Buffalo and I drive down, pick it up, declare it and pay taxes. Works the same way as aquarium fish from what I underatand.

Wow I just watched some YouTube videos of ribbon worms. Those are so cool! I had never heard of them before.
